The Open Challenge is Done!

The Open has come and gone, and what an Open it’s been! 5 epic WODs, with the final one left up to a vote by the CrossFit community! What did you think of this year’s Open? Did any of your predictions come true? Did you hit any PR’s? Did any of Dave Castro’s clues make sense?

If you’re like the rest of us, you’re already thinking about what you can improve upon as the road to the 2019 Open has begun! Come on out to any open gym to train on your weaknesses, learn a new skill, or build up your cardio! Your latest PR is within reach!

   Athlete of the Month   

The Athlete of the Month for April is Heather!
This month’s athlete is someone who has had an extensive fitness history who came to CrossFit and found a great new way to workout and stick with it! Heather’s been regularly participating in our internal competitions since she started with us over 8 months ago, and she’s still going! Let’s check out her story!

Mobility & Stretching Workshop

Saturday, April 7 | 11:00am

Cool down, stretch out, and recover from the Open. 

  • dynamic warm-ups to get you ready to perform at your best
  • stretching & mobility tools for recover
  • preventative stretching & mobility  
  • learn how to use all the mobility tools around the gym 

Program Details

  • $30 per person
  • limited spots available

Tradewinds Takes on A4cade

Sunday, April 22 | 1:00pm (21+ event)

Take in a SundayFunday with your fellow athletes at one of the coolest barcades in the Boston area. Get your grub on, do a little day drinking, play some awesome arcade games. 

Space will fill up quick, so the sooner you get there the better!

April-May 2018 

The program is designed to help introduce kids to (fun) fitness and build on skills from the previous kids program.  

Program Details

  • Kids 7-13 years old
  • Tuesdays, 4/24, 5/1, 5/8, 5/15, 5/22, 5/29
  • 4:00pm to 4:45pm
  • $100 per kid
  • 10 available spots

*If there is enough interest for a 4-6 years old age group we may also open up another session.

*At least 5 athletes are required for this program to happen.

April-May 2018 

Tradewinds Barbell Club is a 4-week specialty program focused on barbell movements, specifically the Olympic lifts, taught by Tradewinds Head Coach, Andy Boimila. 

Program Details

  • Saturdays, 4/28, 5/5. 5/12. 5/26
  • 12-2pm
  • $175 for Tradewinds monthly athletes
  • $225 for non-monthly athletes
  • 10 available spots

*At least 5 athletes are required for this program to happen.
