Navigating the journey of life takes a lot of work. Balancing work, family, fun, and personal growth means that we need to prioritize our health. While well-rounded nutrition remains foundational you can give yourself the edge with supplements.
For me, my supplement stack is pretty simple, because that’s what works for me. I start each morning with a whey protein and creatine shake. I also take one of my two fish oil pills in the morning. Then I’ll typically have another protein shake around mid-afternoon, it’s a better snack than that bag of chips I want to reach for. It’s usually around this time that I’ll also take my second fish oil pill. Then before bed I have a casein protein shake with some banana, almond milk, and peanut butter, it’s like a nighttime snack that I don’t need to feel guilty about.
Let’s see what the other coaches do for their supplements:
I use a few different supplements throughout the day.
I usually start each morning with a workout immediately followed by a post workout protein shake which consists of about a cup of unsweetened almond milk and a cup of water, a scoop of whey protein, and a scoop of Collagen. This post-workout meal is easy to make and fast to consume, which is a great thing after a workout when my body is looking for nutrients to recover and rebuild. I am also usually short on time after my workout and before I start working 1-on-1 with clients, so a protein shake helps me get the nutrients I need even when I am short on time. I make the shake before I head to the gym and have it ready to go once my workout wraps up.
I set myself (and my recovery) up for success by having a pre-bedtime shake. This shake consists of a cup of unsweetened almond milk, a scoop of Casein, 1/2 a banana and a tbsp of almond butter. This shake satisfies any end of day hunger, aids in recovery, and keeps my metabolizing working throughout the night. Bonus, I don’t feel super hungry when I wake up in the morning.
Coach Mary
I take their whey protein in shakes, or add it to overnight oats and yogurt to make sure I am getting enough protein in my diet and recovering from workouts properly. I also use creatine to help my muscles work harder longer and electrolytes to make sure I am always hydrated and have good blood flow during my workouts.
Coach Gabby
I just started taking creatine again for muscle growth and recovery. I take creatine when I’m trying to gain muscle and bulk as opposed to not taking it when I’m trying to get more lean or go through a cutting phase. For protein I use whey mainly, but sometimes I use vegan as I’ve heard that it absorbs faster than regular whey, typically 1 serving a day of at least one of those. I also take an amino recovery supplement after a long workout to help with recovery. Sometimes I take a pre workout but mainly for the caffeine, I try to stay away from it most of the time.
Coach Melissa
I use whey and casein to get enough protein in my day. When I’m getting enough I feel less sore and more energy stable throughout my day. I use Whey after my workouts and sometimes casein as my evening protein pudding snack.
I take iron pills as I’m in my mid 40’s and need to make sure I’m keeping my iron levels up. Low iron = low energy
I also take fish oil (at bedtime to avoid fish burps) to make sure I’m getting enough of the right omega fatty acids.

These supplements, when integrated mindfully into a holistic approach to health, can help preserve radiance, sustain muscle strength, empower mental resilience, and nourish your body from the inside out. Remember, supplements are most effective when combined with a balanced diet and a health-conscious lifestyle.
