Every year around this time, I like to share a blog that invites us to pause and reflect—not just on the big, obvious blessings, but on the small, messy, everyday moments that make life what it is.
This year is no different, but I wanted to approach this blog from a slightly more real, human angle—acknowledging that life can be messy, the world can feel heavy, and gratitude isn’t always neat or easy.
For instance, some days we finish a workout feeling unstoppable. While other days we’re just grateful the workout ended. That gratitude still counts and we’re not any less because of it.
Right now, life and the world can feel heavy. We’re juggling work, school, kids, holiday chaos and a lot of outside noise and struggles. We may be tired, overworked, or overwhelmed. And yet, you can still show up for yourself, moving, stretching, breathing, and giving yourself some grace even when you’re not at 100%.
Gratitude doesn’t mean perfection. It doesn’t mean only being grateful when things are going well. It can also mean continuing to show up for yourself when it feels too hard. It can simply mean noticing where you are today and giving yourself credit for breathing.
Sometimes it’s showing up even when you’re tired, speaking a truth even when it feels like it will go unheard, or setting boundaries that protect your health and wellness. All a bit messy but all real, and all things to still be grateful for.
Gratitude that even through the messy and hard stuff, and everything in between, that you keep trying to be a better person each day.
And that’s exactly what makes this community so special. Whether you’ve been coming to the studio for years or are just thinking about taking your first class, your presence matters. Every time you show up, physically, mentally, or even just in intention, you make this space stronger, warmer, and more supportive for everyone else.
So this Thanksgiving, let’s celebrate the imperfect, messy, and real kind of gratitude. The kind that looks like showing up, breathing through the hard moments, and keeping yourself moving forward, even if it’s one small step at a time. Sometimes the good is big, sometimes it’s tiny, but it’s always worth noticing.
