Do you need/want to work on improving your clean or your snatch? Do you want to crush the lifts in the CrossFit Open and in all the other CrossFit competitions? Maybe you just want to spend a little more time improving your lifts and breaking down the techniques? If you answered yes to any of these questions then our new barbell class might be just the program for you! The focus of these weekly classes will be on the techniques and strength building of the two major olympic lifts, the Clean & Jerk, and the Snatch. There will also be components focused on strength improvement in the major power lifts, the Back Squat, Deadlift, and Shoulder Press. The program will cover everything from accessory work to improving various aspects of the lifts, as well as testing maxes. Whether you are a beginner or a more experienced CrossFit athlete, this class will provide the resources and expertise you need to continually improve and succeed with your lifting. The program will be starting this October. To help kick-off this new class we will be hosting two Barbell Lifting Workshops in September. Saturday, September 15th at 8am, and Wednesday, September 19th at 8pm. These workshops will give athletes a glimpse into what our new Barbell class will be like, focusing on the techniques & strength building of the olympic lifts, as well as power lifting components. Each session will have a different lesson plan so athletes are welcome to attend both. Both of these workshop will be capped at 10 athletes. This new 1 hour Barbell group class will run twice a week on Wednesdays at 8pm and Saturdays at 8am starting October 3 through November 10 (12 sessions). These classes are separate from CrossFit classes and memberships, and will be capped to 8 athletes per class. Athletes will need to sign-up for classes in advance on WOD Together. There are 3 membership options available for this program; Barbell Unlimited – $205 Barbell – 7 Class Pass – $155 Barbell Pay-as-you-go Drop-in – $30/class.
