6-pack abs….. I mean who doesn’t want them?
Especially now, it’s summer time, we’re trying to spend more time outside, especially with our shirts off.
So a 6-pack, how do you get one?
What should you eat to get a 6-pack?
First I want to preface everything by asking, “are you sure a 6-pack is what you want?”
I am here to tell you, sure, you can do it, but it’s going to be a lot, and I mean A LOT of work.
In order to have a defined 6-pack men, on average, need to have less than 10% body fat, and less than 20% for women. Now again these are averages, but it begins to give you a picture of how much work this is going to be.
Basically alcohol, processed foods, and desserts are all off the table. Which in turn makes social gatherings (or what social gatherings equate to now-a-days) very, very hard. Going out to eat essentially doesn’t exist and it can cause problems in other activities that you may really enjoy.
However if after all of that, you still want a 6-pack, here what you should be looking at eating:
Eat protein and veggies at every meal
Include a small amount of healthy fats in every meal
Eat a small amount of carbs in your post-workout meal, only
Limit or remove all other carbs from all other meals
Exercise INTENSELY 4-5 times a week (see that bold, the intensity is important)
Get about 8 hours of sleep
You’ll have to adhere to these guidelines 90%-95% of the time, so make sure you’re ready.
