It is an honor to introduce our newest Athlete of the Month, Jenna Dorr.
Jenna may be a newer face around the gym, but in just 5 months she has made a big impact. Her commitment and consistency have quickly earned her a spot in our Top 10 Committed Club, which is no small feat. She shows up with a positive attitude, puts in the work, and fully embraces the process—no shortcuts, just effort and intention. Watching Jenna build strong habits and prioritize herself has been incredibly inspiring, and we’re so excited to celebrate all she’s already accomplished with us.
Jenna’s AOM Interview:
TW: Where are you from?
Jenna: Born & raised in Winthrop
TW: What do you do for work?
Jenna: I work for Brown Forman as a Brand Development Manager, for brands like Jack Daniel’s, Woodford Reserve, Herradura, etc!
TW: How long have you been at Tradewinds?
Jenna: I started at Tradewinds this past September.
TW: What motivated you to try Tradewinds?
Jenna: I’ve always felt I get a better workout from a coached / instructed class. I was looking for a gym where I could learn more about strength training and make sure I’m using the correct technique.
TW: What class or session do you usually attend?
Jenna: My work schedule is always different so I switch it up between morning & night classes.
TW: Did you have a fitness background prior to starting at Tradewinds?
Jenna: I played sports through high school (hockey, soccer, basketball & lacrosse) and have always gone to the gym throughout college. I used to run a lot and at school the gym offered cycling, boxing, and yoga classes that I liked taking.
TW: If you could program your dream workout, what would it be?
Jenna: I really enjoyed the workouts outside when I first started and the weather was nice… so probably a run outside mixed with some strength exercises.
TW: What is your dream meal?
Jenna: My dream meal is a Dparma chicken cutlet salad.
TW: What is your proudest accomplishment since joining Tradewinds?
Jenna: I could not do a single push up before joining and now I can! I definitely feel how much upper body strength I’ve gained.
TW: How has Tradewinds helped you in your everyday life?
Jenna: I feel so much better after working out and I genuinely enjoy going everyday. There will be random things that I have to carry somewhere for work that I feel confident and comfortable doing so.
TW: What do you like to do outside the gym?
Jenna: In the summer I’m always at the beach or rollerblading. I love going to sports games and also going out in Boston with my friends!
TW: What is your favorite song to workout to?
Jenna: My favorite song to workout to is No Broke Boys !!
TW: What’s one thing you’d tell someone who is curious about trying Tradewinds but not sure if they could do it?
Jenna: Tradewinds is the perfect place to go at any point in your fitness journey. The staff is willing to work with you towards any goals or through any limitations. Everyone is so positive from the owners, to the coaches, to all the athletes!!!
Athlete of the Month Closing Thoughts:
Jenna: I have loved my experience at Tradewinds, I feel stronger and much more confident in the gym. I’ve noticed both a mental and physical change in myself. I’m looking forward to the growth this year will bring!
