Getting Back Up

“It doesn’t matter how many times you fall. All that matters is that you get up one more time than you were knocked down.” – Roy T. Bennett

So I’m going to be a little, embarrassingly, honest with you for a second.

This week I’ve worked out twice.

BUT…… that’s more than all the previous 6 weeks combined.

“But Andy, you own a gym.”

Yup, I do.

But you know what happened; LIFE.

August was a heck of a month, between losing a coach, taking on more personal training clients, and unstable child care for my one year old, my personal fitness got bushed to the wayside.

You’d think that because I own the gym, it would be easy for me to “just get in” whenever I could. Well, that just wasn’t the case.

So when someone comes to me and says, “I don’t have time”, I get it, believe me I get it.

So what changed? Why was I able to get in back to back days this week?

I walked through the door. Well there were a few steps before that, but really that’s all it took.

First I blocked off time. I literally put it in my Google Calendar.

Then I signed up for the class, because I know, if I don’t show up, the coach is going to shoot me a message and go, “hey why didn’t you make it into class?”. Talk about embarrassing when it’s your own team that’s hunting you down.

Then, I walked through the door.

So if you’ve fallen off the wagon a little during the summer, or you’ve been having cold feet about starting, or maybe you’ve been injured and too afraid to come back.

Whatever your reason might be, it’s never going to change, unless you change something.

So shoot your coach a message, schedule a free consultation, or reach out to your gym buddy.

No, I mean stop reading this and go do it NOW.

I promise, you won’t regret it.
