We’re excited to celebrate Sal as our newest Athlete of the Month! For nearly three years, Sal has been a dedicated personal training client who truly embodies what consistency and commitment look like. He came to Tradewinds inspired by the experience he saw his wife having, and since then, he’s built confidence, strength, and a belief in himself that continues to grow every week.
Sal shows up ready to learn, trust the coaching process, and push just beyond his comfort zone. His willingness to focus on the details, embrace challenges, and keep moving forward has been incredible to watch. He’s a great reminder that progress happens when you stop looking for shortcuts and start believing in what you’re capable of.

TW: Where are you from?
Sal: Malden, Ma
TW: What do you do for work?
Sal: Own a construction company
TW: How long have you been at Tradewinds?
Sal: Almost 3 years
TW: What motivated you to try Tradewinds?
Sal: I saw how my wife enjoyed coming here so I wanted that same feeling again.
TW: What class or session do you usually attend?
Sal: 1:on:1
TW: Did you have a fitness background prior to starting at Tradewinds?
Sal: Nope. I did go to the gym when I was younger but I really didn’t know what I was doing. Now I realize what I was doing was not helping me so I appreciate all their knowledge.
TW: If you could program your dream workout, what would it be?
Sal: I really enjoy what I’m doing now and learning about my body. Pushing myself and having someone there guiding me though it.
TW: What is your favorite food?
Sal: Seafood
TW: What is your proudest accomplishment since joining Tradewinds?
Sal: When I finally stopped looking for the easy way out and had someone there to tell me i can do it.
TW: How has Tradewinds helped you in your everyday life?
Sal: Confidence in myself and doing something that I thought couldn’t be done
TW: What do you like to do outside the gym?
Sal: Going out with friends
TW: What is your favorite song to workout to?
Sal: Anything from GNR
TW: What’s one thing you’d tell someone who is curious about trying Tradewinds but not sure if they could do it?
Sal: Just do it cause it’s not what you were expecting, it’s better.
Athlete of the Month Closing Thoughts:
Everyone here is knowledgeable. I’ve learned a lot from the trainers here. One of the biggest benefits was learning proper form, small adjustments and movement made a huge difference in how the exercises felt. I realized that I wasn’t engaging the right muscles before. My coach also pushed me slightly beyond my comfort zone, which helped me discover that I’m capable of more than I thought.
